Lesson Learning Objectives:

To brainstorm ideas with a partner about what type of educational app you could create.
To develop a Powerpoint describing the look and content of your app.
To present your powerpoint to the class and seek ideas to further improve your work.

All children should be able to:

Work with a partner to create a Powerpoint about the app with at least 5 slides.

Most children will be able to:

Also add sound and animations to their Powerpoint.

Produce at least 9 slides with detailed notes about how the app will function.

Some children also be able to do

Also present to the class their ideas using expression and confidence, seeking and incorporating new ideas from class discussion to make their app more user-friendly and interesting.

Lesson 4 - Y5/Y6

Show the example Powerpoint to the children and remind them about the purpose of their educational app.

Who will use your app?

What features are needed in the Powerpoint presentation?

What notes are required.

Show LO to children. How can the sums in the game last week be made more complicated using code. Discuss.
