We are toy designers - Lesson 6 - Y3/Y4

Lesson Learning Objectives:  

  1. Children to log into their Scratch online accounts
  2. To investigate the "Backdrop & Music Coloured Ball" code.
  3. To change 3 costumes to Sprite 1.
  4. To add 2 backdrops & code to Sprite 1
  5. Add music to Sprite 1.
  6. To self assess.

All children should be able to:

1 Log on to new Scratch personalised pupil accounts

2 Revisit skills from last lesson, build upon your work in your "My Stuff" area or (LA) use my "Backdrop and Music Coloured Ball" design as your template

3 Add new backgrounds and code to Sprite 1.


Most Children should be able to:

Complete 1-3

4 "Remix" (save) work in your Scratch account

5 Self assess - Lesson 6.


Some Children should be able to:

6 Add music to your animation

7 Make "print screen" copies and paste into their self assessment scrapbook.

8 Ext: Add multiple costumes  to the first Sprite, add code to make it function.


Lesson 6  - Y3/Y4

Task 1 – Log into Scratch online accounts – Remind about & discuss e-Safety

Children to reproduce their design in scratch using the "Backdrop & Music Coloured Ball" template or (HA) adding new backgrounds to Sprite 1 and code independently (HA)

  

Task 2 – "Remix" (Save) on individual accounts.

Task 3 - Copy "Print Screen" images into the self assessment and complete the lesson 6 section .

Task 4 - Ext: add music to Sprite 1

Complete digital self-assessment related to success criteria of learning objectives
