Kodu Programming - Lesson 7- Y5/Y6

Water & Walls -  Lesson Learning Objectives:  

  1. To investigate adding walls
  2. To add water and water features
  3. To add waves and change wind strength
  4. Save the work online - consider eSafety and share – screenshots.
  5. Self assess.
Under water maze racing!

All children should be able to:

A - Play the game sencolewis7b, discuss and share with class.

Select and make a wall using the "magic" tool starting with "sencolewis7a" in "Kodu community area" 

B - Select and make a wall using the "magic" tool using the "sencolewis7a" coding in the "Kodu Community area"

C - Add water and change its height


Most Children should be able to:

Complete A-C

D - Add under water Kodu's such as a submarine, fish etc - programme them to move

 - Create screen shots to save to self assessment.

F - Add other objects to bump into which lead to "talking”

G - Create screen shots to save to self assessment.


Some Children should be able to:

H - Add objects to bump into to score points

I - change the global settings to increase wave height and wind strength


Bump into objects, they talk!



Add water features, code them to talk if bumped into and paste them
